Exquisite Corpse  Photo Illustration

In 2014 Andrew collaborated with artists Peter Sullivan and John Kenzie to create an Exquisite Corpse.  An Exquisite Corpse is a collection of words or images that is assembled by different artists and authors.  Invented by the French Surrealists in the 1920s, this type of art became a popular parlor game and demonstrates how collaboration reveals new ideas and inspirations.  In this instance, each artist contributed a different section of the "corpse", here depicted as a World War II Veteran.  Each section was done in the artist's own style and without knowledge of the appearance of the other sections, just the ending point of the previous section.  Andrew contributed the torso, made of a photo collage of WWII era photos over an illustration.

The final piece was shown with other corpses at the Surrealism and War exhibit at the National Veterans Art Museum in Chicago.
